PRAGATI Main Event

Participants need to register themselves on the official Pragati website. They are required to select one team leader who will register on the behalf of the entire team and will also be the point of contact to the organizers. The details of the other team members can be added later on.

Participants will be asked to pay a registration fee of Rs. 350/- per head after their abstract approval by our screening committee if they register within our early bird registration timeline. Registrants after that will be charged Rs. 400/­per head after their abstract approval.

Participants cannot register after the above mentioned date. 

 A series of workshops will be held to facilitate the students to develop their business plans in a more refined way. Students are encouraged to take full advantage of this opportunity as it will be industry professionals who will mentor and guide you throughout the workshop.

The details of the main event will be made available on your team dashboard. The event will commence with Inauguration followed by the competitions and conclude with valedictory where the winners will be announced. 

  • The registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Prize money will be given to the team leader who will be responsible for the distribution of the prize money to the team members. The prize money will be given within 3 months of the declaration of results. The participating team affirms that the intellectual property in the business model does not infringe upon the intellectual property or any other legal or moral right of any person or entity. The participating team affirms that they shall not violate any applicable law. The Terms & Conditions and the Competition Rules shall be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute or conflict arising out of, from, or relating to anything contained in the Terms & Conditions and/ or the Competition Rules is subject to the jurisdiction of Mumbai courts only. By electing to participate in Pragati, each participating team and all of its team members agree to allow The Institution’s Innovation Council, SFIT to use their names, images, basic business plan description, and prize information in publicity and marketing efforts throughout India unless specifically prohibited by law. Each participating team must agree to accept that their registration form and other entries will not be returned to them, and accept that their personal data will be available for information and statistical purposes. If The Institution’s Innovation Council, SFIT, or its sponsors or associates are faced with any claim or loss (including any third-party claims) arising from or relating to any breach by any member of a participating team of the Terms and Conditions hereof, such participating team shall severally and jointly indemnify and keep harmless to The Institution’s Innovation Council, SFIT or its sponsors or associates. All prices are subject to change at the discretion of the organizing team till 5 days before the start of the competition. All decisions of the organization team of Pragati 2024 are final and binding. Terms & Conditions, Rules and Regulations, and any other competition Rules and details are subject to change at the discretion of the organizing team.
  • How and when will Pragati be held this year?
    The event will be held offline at St. Francis Institute of Technology on March 15, 2024
  • What are the requirements for participation?
    You need to have a team to participate in Pragati. Teams can be of any size ranging from 2-5. However, having more than 5 members is not allowed. You will need to submit an abstract with the template provided to you on our official website. Once your abstract is approved by our screening team, you will be asked to pay the registration fee and submit the proof of concept of your idea within the prescribed deadlines. Note: Proof of concept has to be submitted in the form of a video. It should show your project implementation and working. In case of any queries, please connect with your point of contact.
  • Who can participate in Pragati 2024?
    Undergraduate students from professional courses (B.E/B.Tech/BBA etc) and postgraduate candidates (Mtech/ME/MBA) are eligible to participate.
  • How many rounds will be there?
    There will be two rounds. The teams qualified from the first round i.e Preliminary will go into Round 2 i.e Finals.
  • How can I participate?
    Simply register your team by clicking on register now and filling out the required details. Only one member of the team has to do it. The details of the team members can be added later on. You will have a team dashboard so you can track the status of your submission and have access to our blogs and social media updates all in one place. The process has been outlined in our timeline and in case of any queries, you may get in touch with your point of contact assigned after you sign up.
  • Can I know about the registration fee for Pragati?
    You can register and sign up on our website for free. You will be asked to pay the registration fee only after your abstract has been approved by our screening committee. You will be asked to pay a registration fee of Rs. 350/- per head after your abstract approval if you register within our early bird registration timeline and registrants after that will be charged Rs. 400/- per head after their abstract approval. You will be contacted by your assigned point of contact to confirm your payment.
  • How is Confidentiality maintained?
    An NDA will be mandatorily signed between the organizing team and the participants in the spirit of non-disclosure, and all entry materials will be treated as confidential. Our judging panel consists of industry experts and professionals who believe in the spirit of entrepreneurship. The only people with access to the entry materials will be judges and selected members of the organizing committee.
  • What are the perks of participating in Pragati?
    All the participants will receive a national-level participation certificate, networking opportunity and goodies. There will also be mentoring workshops held before the competition by experienced entrepreneurs or experts who provide assistance and guidance to the participants. They will offer suggestions and feedback to help participants develop and refine their business model. Teams are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
  • Do I need to have a technical background?
    No, we accept and encourage all the applications that have the potential to be developed into a business model.
  • Can I have members in my team from different colleges?
    Yes! Candidates can have team members from different institutions.
